And data teams face unique challenges. Not only do they have to deliver quality technical work, but they have to scope, shape, and filter inbound requests, communicating with finesse with stakeholders.
This workshop is specifically designed for professionals recently promoted into their first supervisory role. It'll focus on the most pressing areas for a brand-new manager's success, with particular attention paid to data teams' unique challenges.
Sessions will be interactive, tailored, packed with resources, and are lead by Sasha Laundy, an executive and leadership coach with 15 years of experience and a background in running high-performing data science and analytics teams.
Topics include
- Resetting and re-establishing relationships (including your manager and former peers who are now direct reports)
- Quality 1:1 meetings with direct reports
Commitment
- Actively participate in two 1-hour-long sessions, held every other Wednesday at 2pm Pacific
- Complete reading and follow-up assignments in between sessions to apply the material
